We have planted up the first of many tubs and baskets (we hope 
) in Holmfirth Town Centre. The tubs can be seen in Hollowgate, next to the Atlantis Kebab and Pizza Take-away.
One tub is planted with vegetables, such as onion, peas, chard and leaf beet, and the other contains a redcurrant bush, rhubarb and strawberries. The tubs are a reminder that food can be grown anywhere and can be just as varied and colourful as rows of inedible busy lizzies.
Watch out for more vegetable and herb planters appearing on your streets!
